Baby #2 is on the way! Meet our little turkey. We expect to meet him/her on 11/22.

What a day!?! We watched with breathless anticipation as the ultrasound tech worked her magic and brought our baby into focus. She took us on a tour of his little body… by all accounts he’s 100% healthy… head to tiny little toes. When she pointed out his, um, boy parts a flood of emotions and thoughts began flowing. We’re still wrapping our minds around the fact that we’ll have a son.

Wow… technology is awesome! Enjoy the movie (it’s about 3 minutes long)… you’ll see his face, head, hands, feet, legs, and boy bits (he ain’t shy).

Seeing our Peanut on the ultrasound today was amazing.  Wow!  He or she was kicking a lot (or dancing, perhaps?) and waving an arm and turning toward the ultrasound wand so we could see the current alien-like state of his/her face.  No…really…we have the US picture to prove it.  LOL!  But just seeing the movement was so awesome.  The kicks were shaking the umbilical cord around a bit and toward the end of the appointment, Peanut turned his/her back as if to say “yeah, I’m going back to sleep now…go away.”  Love it!  Sooo…I’m sure it should be interesting once I can feel that active little being.  Oh, my!

Yup… the headline says it all.  We are expecting our first child on September 3rd and we are so happy/excited/nervous/anxious/scared/hopeful/overwhelmed/happy.  It’s hard to put all of these feelings into words, but I think it’s a tremendous blessing and we are going to love this child to pieces.  I hope that we’ll be able to provide everything our little peanut needs and can be the role models that he/she can look up to.

This isn’t the greatest photo… who would have thought it would be so tough to take a photo of an ultrasound?  Our crappy scanner was no help either, but you get the idea.
